Dr. George John Alexander is a Board Certified Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon. He is also board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the National Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr. Alexander received his M.D. degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He graduated at the top of his class where he was selected for membership in Alpha Omega Alpha, a prestigious medical academic society. Upon completion of medical school, Dr. Alexander continued his medical training with 5 years of internship and residency in General Surgery and 3 years in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (one of the most extensive training programs you will ever find in a cosmetic surgeon). During this training, Dr. Alexander was identified by the United States government as the number one doctor in his program.
Dr. Alexander was the Founder and past Chief of Plastic Surgery at Mike O'Callaghan Federal Hospital in Las Vegas. He served for 10 years as Chief of Plastic Surgery at MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas, and has been awarded two Surgeon General awards for his accomplishments in plastic surgery. Dr. Alexander has consistantly been voted among Las Vegas' top doctors for plastic surgery. Dr. Alexander was also honored by his selection as one of the "Distinguished Men in Southern Nevada"(pub., Distinguished Pub. Co., Library of Congress ISSN 1520-4146).
Dr. Alexander is the past President of The Georgetown University Alumni Club and has been recognized by Georgetown University recently as a recipient of the "Founders Award". He has received a certificate of appreciation from the Nevada chapters of the American Red Cross and the Lions Club. In addition, Dr. Alexander holds physician recognition awards from the American Medical Association, is a supporter of breast cancer education, and is a sponsor of the local Boy Scouts. He has served as a ring-side physician for USA Boxing.
On a personal note, Dr. Alexander enjoys music, particularly jazz, opera and R&B. He enjoys attending Grand Prix races, art galleries, collecting antique books, enjoying free time at the beach in Laguna & Newport Beach, California and spending time with his family.
