Patient Counselor

Since 1997, Anita has been counseling Dr. Alexander's patients on their surgical procedures. By attending numerous industry seminars and panel discussions throughout the year, Anita stays in tune with the changing world of cosmetic surgery, so she can better educate patients. Anita has found that an educated patient is a happy one.
"It's important to me to have every patient fully understand their procedure, this way they can make sound and
confident choices," she says. "Together we'll examine before and after photos and educational materials, we'll discuss scheduling their procedure and what they can anticipate before and after surgery. And every question is a smart question, so no matter how many a patient may have, I'll do my best to provide them with the information they need."

For almost a decade Jami has guided and befriended countless women and men through their procedures at Dr. Alexander & Company. Before meeting with Dr. Alexander, Jami walks patients through their surgery process - from addressing their questions to scheduling their procedure.
"My main objective is to ease our patients concerns, so that they can enjoy the anticipation of the positive results that await them after surgery," she says. "I take patients through our before and after photos, giving them a sense of what to expect from surgery. I'll also provide books, videos, and pamphlets so our
patients can become as educated as possible about the procedure. And of course, I'll answer all of their questions."
And that service extends far beyond a patient's initial visit. Jami is available by phone during office hours to answer additional questions that may arise after a patient leaves the office.

For over 25 years Lynn has been caring for patients using her experienced nursing skills to comfort them. With Dr. Alexander, Lynn coordinates patients lab work, physicals and medical forms. Before surgery, patients meet with Lynn for the pre-operative appointment and then again for their post-surgery follow-up visits.
"To me, it's most important that the patient is well prepared and feels comfortable with their decision to proceed with surgery," she says. "I make sure to give our patients the details they need to be prepared for surgery; what to wear, where to pre-register, what and when to eat and drink, etc. For their post surgery experience, I'll go over how to shower, dress and how they can best take care of themselves."

After meeting with patient counselors, Lori is the next face to greet our patients. Lori works alongside Dr. Alexander during examinations, assisting the doctor and answering our patient's questions.
"I assist with patient consultation and education as well as many other details," she says. "For example, with our breast augmentation patients, I'll show them the various sizes available and assist in the decision-making process. For me, that's the fun part...helping women to achieve the look they desire."
