Breast Implant Exchange Las Vegas

Women who have previously undergone breast augmentation may eventually consider further breast enhancement. They may want to change implant size, change the type of implant from saline to silicone, or replace a deflated implant. These are common reasons why patients choose to undergo breast implant exchange surgery with me in Las Vegas.

Breast implant exchange surgery is one of several breast procedures that I perform in Las Vegas. While many of my breast implant exchange patients originally went to other plastic surgeons for their primary breast augmentation, there are those who came to me for their initial procedure, and now desire a change after many years.

Since the FDA approval of silicone breast implants in November 2006, many patients feel more comfortable undergoing implant exchange surgery with silicone gel. Patients who originally received saline filled breast implants often request to replace them with silicone gel filled implants due to their more natural feel. In my opinion, optimal results can be attained when this procedure is performed through the inframammary (breast crease) incision, as this allows the greatest visibility throughout surgery as compared to the periareolar (areola), transumbilical (navel), and transaxillary (armpit) incision.
