Breast Surgery in time for the Holidays

Where has 2011 gone? It is almost October and what does that mean for most? Holiday gatherings, family visits and shopping are right around the corner! For Dr. Alexander & Co, this means vacation and holiday down time for many of our patients and one of our busiest times of the year. Many people like to have procedures during this time frame because it is easier to fly “under the radar” as they recuperate with flexible time off from work, or assistance with family.

Here at Dr. Alexander’s office we commit our efforts toward educating our patients prior to any procedure. If you are planning a breast augmentation, reduction or lift, it will be important to be properly prepared so you don’t have to miss any of the holiday festivities. Patients should be certain they have friends or family available to assist them during their recovery. They should also be aware of obligations or commitments they have during the holidays and plan accordingly. It is important that you allow yourself time to heal. After the first week light duties may be resumed, but even with normal speedy healing, most patient activities are not released to unrestricted until 4-6 weeks!
