FAQ: Deciding if implants are right for you
Q: Who is a candidate for breast enlargement?
A: A candidate for breast augmentation would be a woman over 18 years old in good and stable health with realistic expectations. Preferably an individual that does not smoke and within 15 to 20 lbs. of their ideal weight. It is only appropriate for the woman who wants it for herself and herself only!
Q: Who is not a candidate for breast augmentation?
A: Someone who is seeking surgery for someone’s desires, a woman trying to please a partner or an attempt to get out of a state of depression.
Q: Can a women breast feed after implants?
A: Yes, women are still able to breast feed after surgery. There are no proven risks to the baby with either saline or silicone implant. Implants may decrease the amount of milk produced in some women, but women may safely try to breast feed with implants.
Q: Will breast implants increase my chance of sagging over time?
A: Due to the inevitable aging and gravity, your breasts will loose elasticity and the breasts will relax over time with or without implants. The implants do add additional weight to the breasts, however, the scar tissue surrounding the implant does allow for more support.
Q: Can implants achieve some lifting of sagging breasts or will I need multiple procedures?
A: Breast implants can help with mild sagging by increasing the volume of your breasts causing an appearance of a small lift. The extent to which they are lifted fluctuates between each individual. If you experience moderate to severe sagging, additional procedures may be recommended.
